advice please/data protection

i have just received an email from an elder's wife regarding the new data protection laws.

between the lines it sounds like she has been asked to contact me.. she says they 'don't want to leave me out' so they want me to fill out the form as 'i'm still part of the congregation'.

also, my blood card needs updating, apparently.. the elder in charge will be in contact.. obviously, i'm not doing either, but what do i do?

The Georgetown Assý Hall @ Norval has been peddling the same stupid shit for 40 years!

Way back then, I attended a special talk some time after Peter Gzowski had hosted a fascinating radio interview explaining the creation of a wonderful new invention - the World Wide Web !

Peters guest explained how this originally military technology was being commandeered by the world civilian citizens to link together PCs everywhere into a global communications network. I had never heard of this and it was news to CBC host Peter Gsowski likewise - it was stunning to listen to the wonders this new tech woul bring to people everywhere. I stopped working and sat on the floor to listen...WOW

Sometime later, at a convention at Georgetown a young couple was paraded out and announced how they had given up their careers in computer -tech to pioneer! I still remember the sickening feeling that these deluded young folks were making a huge mistake.

I never agreed with the WT stance against higher education - it amounted to conning young people into throwing their "pearls"(youth, education,aspirations) before "swine"( a greedy, lying cult leadership).

I´ve thought about that couple all these years and wished I had the knowledge and opportunity they threw away at the assembly hall...

I got my first teaching job!

in case you haven't read me, i am a spanish pimo who is preparing himself to become an english teacher.

well, i just wanted to share with you that i've been called to work in a high school and my first week of work has been amazing!

this job is not permanent, it will end in july, but finally i got rid of many doubts about my adequacy for this job: i love it!

Has anyone opinions on the legality of the practice - (announcing a persons name and religion status) to what could be a random audience?

I say random because not everyone at the hall are Jws -there are children, , studies, various visitors and guests - what legal right do these people have to such personal, private details sprung upon them?

Please keep responding with your various opinions, I am going somewhere with this...

Wealth, Poverty, and Morality

i am interested in the approach this forum takes to money.

apart from sex, (which i am quite relaxed about) it seems to me that wealth is the surest divider between those who are moral, and those who are not.. it seems jesus thought so, also.

luke 16:19-31 kjv describes well enough his dusty attitude to the rich who do not succour the poor.. and this world has many poor: so many, it might seem that we can do nothing about it, and twist his words; 'the poor ye shall have always with you, but me, ye shall not have always.

I don´t agree that 2RM has hosted " ..a train wreck" at all.

I now live in a country that has lots of truly poor people ( tin/wood shacks, no electricity, no school for those who can´t afford uniforms etc. etc..)

I first thought "just lazy" now I know better. The roosters crow about 4:30 AM and the poor get busy -hustling, gathering, peddling, chopping, carrying, scrounging...

Shocking to learn that one lady who calls around with her (delicious) doughnuts is raising six lovely children. These folks work long and hard in a democracy run by fat-cat corruptos .

2RM has proposed irrespective financial equality which is way too much, but there is surely a need for redistribution of excesses that seem so great that "immoral" may well apply, as the OP suggested.

Maybe some of the vitriolic commentors might offer appropriate amendments rather than condemnation.

My suggestion - educate, educate, educate
